Seafoam Trans-Tune
I found alot of threads on here for the Seafoam Auto Marine engine cleaner, but I haven't seen alot on here about the Seafoam "Trans-tune" transmission cleaner.
I am thinking about having my transmission fluid flushed and switched out with amsoil synthetic tranny fluid. I am also thinking that since my 4runner has about 108,000 miles on it, it might be a good idea to clean it out with this Seafoam Trans-tune stuff before I have it flushed. I'm afraid the higher quality amsoil fluid will break up all the gunk and carbon in the tranny and cause more problems than it fixes, so I'd like to have it as clean as possible before the amsoil even goes in.
Does this sound like a good idea to you guys, and have any of you used the seafoam trans-tune before? If so, would you recommend it, or possibly something else?
