Rear Defroster not working?

Well, my rear defroster hasn't been working for a while, the fuse is good, and the button lights up. I can hear a relay click in the dash when I hit the button. The wiper works properly, and the button for the defroster only comes on when the window is up...like it should work.

I was insipred by another thread to poke around in the gate a little bit. The only thing I found out was that the two wires going to the glass itself are NOT getting power. Ever.

Anybody have some ideas? This is a 3rd gen, so the other threads don't apply.

The wires for the defrost enter in on the drivers side at the bottom . They are simple plug in types that unplug easy. Pull the panel off and lock in the latches so you can roll the window out while the gate is down. Then peak in and hopefully see that the wires came undone. btw do you have decals all over the back window? i do and that why mine wont work right now.

Mine enter at the top of the gate..ie 3rd gen. I stripped all of the panels off this morning. All of the connectors I saw were in tact and properly seated.

I do have Yotatech & Human Rights Campaign decals on the outside. But since it's outside, it should be ok, right?

I dont know the sticker rule to be a fact. I only know i was told stickers mess with it. i have a window full of them and no worky. i didnt look at the 3rd gen fact, sorry bout that. get out the test light and check those wires. ground may have went to chit on you or power wire could be corroded. also cant hurt to call yota and ask if there are any open recalls or TSB's for this issue.
