really, really, weird cold start problem
I have a '90 4-runner with v-6 automatic. Every time I try to start it when the temp is around 25 or colder, it wont start. The engine turns over fine but as far as I can tell, it gets no fire or fuel. I finally noticed that when I have this problem, the check engine light is not on when ignition is turned on.
Now that I have noticed that, anytime it's that cold outside, I just go out & turn the key to on & leave it for a while. After 10 to 15 minutes, the check engine light comes on & then it will start.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or have any ideas?
Thanks.
