Passenger Airbag Indicator Light Problem
The light in the passenger airbag on/off selector didn't work when I bought my truck, and it didn't work for 4 months. I didn't even know it was supposed to light up, but then I started to notice the green light when I would hit bumps. It's in a '98 Burrito 4 cyl.
I took the switch out, and carefully examined it, and I could see no frayed connections, no loose or disconnected... uh... connectors either. As I re-assembled it, i noticed that if, upon reinsertion of the switch assembly, I tweaked it to the side, and replaced it ever-so-gently, the light would stay on, but only till i either hit a good bump or re-started the truck.
Is this a big problem? Does anyone have experience with such a problem, and if so, is it just a light, or does the fact that it isn't illuminated mean my passenger airbag won't deploy?
