Oil in radiator
My first post and its a doozy......
Wife's got a 1995 4runner v6. Just noticed that since I changed the oil last its been slowly losing it somewhere. So I popped open the radiator cap and overflow tank and found oil in both. Pretty sure its the head gasket thats leaking .....but I was wondering if there's any other possiblilties for the oil in the coolant.
Other than that the engine runs smooth with no noticeable ailments.
BTW............the previous owner already had the HG's fixed under the recall a few years ago.

Ouch sorry to hear that. Unfortunately it is most certainly the head gasket , and you are probably SOL . Maybe a trip to the dealer to see if that repair has a warranty to it is in order.
Good luck,

Yep, you have a problem.
If your headgaskets have never been replaced, there is a chance that you can get it done free by Toyota.
There was a problem with their headgaskets and they were replacing them free as part of a special service thing. So, check it out, but I would not drive it until you get it taken care of as it may ruin the engine.

The headgasket was redisigned sometime although I don't know when it was done. I've had two HG recalls done on my truck. I too, also thought the recall didn't cover '95s.

sounds like you had an early model 95 that was under the recall. if i were you id take it to them and bitch your head off
as for me, i was SOL and have a late model 95. i was stuck up the ass with a $2600 bill for my head gasket
it seems nobody wants to fight or help with my situation. i give up
