Thanks! I've got big plans for that truck, BIG! In those shots I didn't have a rear locker, that's been fixed... and there's a solid axle waiting in the shed.

Im 2WD and try to get mine as dirty as I can whenever I can. I love to push thelimits on 2WD, I have never been stuck(well there was that one time and I had to have ZR2 give me a nice pull). Now if Ionly had a digital camera and I could show ou guys some pics. then you would be as proud of my 2WD as I am.

Much of my off-highway stuff includes historical pursuits. I like to follow old wagon ruts such as the Oregon Trail in Idaho and Oregon or the California Trail through northern Nevada and the Black Rock Desert.

I'm always alone and sometimes I don't see another person or vehicle for two or three days because I'm so remote. I haven't had to walk out yet but It's always on my mind.

My favorite all around areas to wheel are in southern Utah. Moab rocks!!! But there are many other great places too. I usually coincide wheeling with extended hiking. Most of the time multi-day hikes.

So, my ride is very important to me for a variety of different reasons and I love my runner!

I took my old stock 86 off roading as much as I could, basically beat it up, learned all about the 1st 4runners for a few years. Then it just got too beat up too handle financially.

Now am down to pure utility, get out in the snow, dirt roads, moving, and am prepping for some less dangerous or damaging off road putzing around as a support vehicle with the SCCA; maybe a 1" lift later, maybe the standard cheap power tricks (cam, intake, exhaust) and nice set of slightly bigger than stock tires. Probably no off road specific mods other than these will ever happen.
