Cool New member from Sacramento, CA

Let me introduce myself, Duke Reyes from Sacramento, CA. I have a 99 4Runner "Highlander", with 2nd Gen Supercharger. Just going through the old threads lead me to believe that my pocket is going to hurt, based on all the different mods I have read so far. My next mod would probably be the deckplate mod..(it's what I can afford right now....my wife just gave birth to twins last June, so cash is kinda tight!)
I am very impressed with the group and knowledge of the people in this forum. I am in the process of finishing my website so I can provide you pics of my 4Runner (i call it "Bruno" )

Welcome, Duke!
I am pretty new here, too. There are ALOT of experienced people here with ALOT of different and great ideas.

Congrats on the twins and bring on the mods (to the Runner, of course)

Ok how about this...I haven't done my deck plate install yet...you find us a good price on Amsoil Air Filters and deck plates...and we'll do it together.

Re: New member from Sacramento, CA

Welcome Duke. If boredom ever strikes you, swing by my place in Sacto and take me for a ride in your s/c runner! I'd like to know what close to double my hp feels like!

...well...on second thought...you'd better not. I don't need the "wants" right now. Anyways, welcome aboard!

I really appreciate all the comments I am getting from this thread. Raising the twins will definitely be a life changing experience, but I cannot forget 'Bruno' (as I lovingly call my runner), so I just got the TRD Exhaust installed today
After I clean it tomorrow I'll take some pics and post them here. I do love the way it rumbles!!!

By the way, I am selling a "Ravin Muffler" for $60. I've only had it installed for a few days. The rumble was very nice, but it was too much for my twins to handle during one of our trips. So if you like a deep tone, the Ravin exhaust is for you. Here is the link to know more about the muff http://www.goravin.com

where work in Sac?

For you Sacramento folks, where are you getting your work done? I'm decidedly un-mechanical, so will be "paying the man" a lot...

While I'm sure I'll get most of my intel here , be nice to find someone who knows the in's and out's...

Scottiac,
I had my SC and Exhaust installed at Folsom Lake Toyota. Look for Dan Chastain...he is very helpful and knowledgeable. If you do decide to get work done at their service center, tell him I referred you..

Folsom lake or Florin is my choice, I know Robert Rogers of Folsom, actually he's friends with my father and I know, uh..god what was his name, umm the black guy at Florin, can't think of his name now, but he's really friendly.

DO NOT GO TO MAITA TOYOTA, they suck! Roseville, even though I bought my tundra from there, I don't trust their service department very well.

The thing is I basically go for parts and every so often I get lazy and have the dealer do an oil chang. I buy my parts only from Folsom and homeboy Gerome at the parts counter hooks me up!

[EDIT] I just realized you live in Davis, is Chiles Toyota any good? Caz Folsom is a serious long drive for you, I mean you have to hit the Causway, then midtown, then 50, and then after so long, you hit Folsom (although I take the Aerojet exit).

deal is done...

Thanks guys...

I'd already made the discoveries about Maita and Roseville. That's kinda why I was asking for help. Chiles does great work, but not sure how knowledgeable about mods.

Sounds like a journey to Florin or Folsom is in my future.
