Need your input on a 3VZE buildup.

Don't waste your money on the 3VZE. It's a waste of time and money. Like teaching a pig Calculus.
Sure there's a ton of hopups you can add to it. Yes you can increase the power output by 10-30% (the computer will fight you every inch of the way.) BUT you'll spend a boatload of money doing it and end up with a very expensive marginal motor.
Take a look at the Vortec conversions. Many very professional kits out there. You'll get done for half the money you'd spend on the 3VZE and have more power in a stock motor (there's lots of room to grow.)
A stock 3VZE gets 85HP at the rear wheels.
A highly modified 3VZE may reach the low 100s.
A stock Vortec can get you over 150 at the rear wheels.
Do the math, it's real easy to see which is more cost effective.

i found this tread on a search engine so im gonna reply to it sounds intresting i know its really old tread but ill give it a shot, well you can get a lot of power from the 3VZ-E engine 250HP to be exact with all internals and custom parts but ur loooking at around $14000 quoted by toyotaperformance.com i think thats the site, but the guy i know here in canada who builds motors has people in places you can only dream of, who currently build engine internals they dont offer nutting for the 3VZ-E but can shure custom it on their spare time, but cost again, you can TT your 3VZ-E engine but here are the Prices well that i get.
The cheap way of doing it!

Custom manifold $600
everything els $600
Total $2000 canadian $1700US
Advantage Disadvantage
60hp max HAHAHA blown head gasket, 10 MPG, Full synt oil
