Might be getting a 96 4runner.....But he broke his ignition??
I might trade my honda for this guys 4runner, but he said he broke the ignition. Also said it would cost 100 bucks to fix or something, but im confused on this whole ignition thing.
If I get one from a junkyard(dont even know what to get) how would that still work with my current key??
if anyone can give me insight on how to fix this problem
also he didnt steal it, he is the original owner, and has the title in his name...but I would just like to know how to get this fixed if I get it.
Thanks!!

It depends on what is broken.
If it is something ON the ignition assenbly, then you could probably get another at a salvage yard, and swap the individual parts, or swap the lock cylinders. If the problem is the lock cylider itself, then you'll probably have to get another assembly from the junk yard, and get a locksmith to re-key it to the original key.
You can check with a dealership, too, but I'm sure that this would be a big bucks item.
