Hella 500 install
Help ! please i ve read many articles and assume im stupid. here goes i understand everything in the install except i want the switch to turn on whenever not determined by high/low beams just by a live wire. so on the swith there are 3 plugs one to the relay. one for the ground and one to normally be tapped into the high/low/ parking lights. someone here suggested a fuse block which i dont have nor know how to hook up. so whqat are my options for that one wire??? can you put an inline fuse straight to the battery or do i need a fuse block? if so how to hook up ??

[QUOTE=Corey]Did you see my article in the tech section?
I did but i just didnt understand it cause it looks like you and bob ran it through a auxillary fuse block which i dont know how to use or have one. i do plan on getting one but at this time it complicates thing i guesss how does a block wire up?
TDiddy but if i just run that lead wire directly to the battery im ok with an inline fuse?

You can see in my aux box article how I had tapped the Hella wire into the incab fusebox.

so are you saying for the green (hot wire) can have an inline fuse and go straight to the battery?

What I did was tap one of the fuses int he cab with a Mini Add-A-Circuit, sent that to a switch, and the switch went to the relay. So even if I leave my switch on, if the Ignition is off, the lights wont be on, therefore wont drain my battery.

i was just worried that the lights are being hooked up to the battery twice. once from the positive terminal of the battery to the relay then from the switch to the postive battery again is all. i know it doesnt take much to understand but i think im more mechanical than electrical : )
