Here it is fellas finally downloaded the pics. to my tightwad tacoma wannabee 4runner antenna mod.
The steps to install is just like bobs98sr5 tacoma antenna mod. but with the autozone parts. Here's bob's link: http://www.4runners.org/articles/whip/
Just say no to stealerships.
Autozone: antenna assembly AW-UT91 narrow antenna $6.99 includes stainless antenna whip.
rubber antenna AW-RM1R rubber antenna $3.99
Tell me what ya think.

Looks good. I like the rubber antennae but it looks a little short. It might look better with a pic of your entire runner to get a better perspective.

put this http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/ before the url for your pic within the IMG tags, and the pic will show up.

I like it and appreciate the thriftiness compared to Yota pricing
But can you tell us more? I can see the photos but not sure I am fully appreciating it all.
Does that base rubber gasket actually fit our fender angle to seal properly? You simply unscrewed the stainless whip that came with it and screwed on the rubber ducky one?
ha! I see now it's a 6 year old thread... great ideas never die and I found this searching Google easier than through the Forum
