Difference between Limited, Sport, SR5 (3rd Gen)

Where can I find a list of features available on the '01 and '02 4Runner? I want to know what was standard on the SR5, Sport Edition, and Limited and what the options were. Everything I've found has a generic list (like Edmunds). I want to know the detailed differences . If there is a scanned brochure online, that would be ideal, but a website with that info would be fine too.

Thanks for your help.

well im not sure, but i can tell you the main appearance difference is:

limited - climate control ac, wood trim, body color bumpers, body color grille
sport - hood scoop, body color bumpers, metalic skid plate, silver interior trim
sr5 - chrome bumper trim, chrome grille, dial-style air

i'm looking for a real list though -- let you know if i find anything.

Most people still don't seem to know this, but limiteds also gave you push button 4wd in the earlier years....

Notice 4wd button. http://www.burtmanindustries.com/mor...up_console.jpg

Hey Jason Whats Up.

Just to clarify. Push button 4WD (50/50 power split) on the pre 1999 models is totally different than the push button AWD (AWD=open center diff) on the 1999+ years.

Hey Jason...

Pre 99, the limiteds had the push button 4WD (4-Hi) in addition to standard 2WD (2-hi) and 4-Low. The pre-99 models have a 50/50 split of power to the front and rear and do not have an open/lockable center differential.

In 99+ models, they have 2WD (2Hi), AWD (4HI with center diff open), 4HI (center diff locked), and of course 4LO (center diff also locked). The AWD can be used on-road and in snow/ice conditions where the regular 4HI (as in pre-99 models) should not be used on-road due to binding of components in turns.

edit: ditto above... JA, you beat me to it...

The multi-mode 4WD system plus the VSC are the main reasons why I'm looking for a 2001/02. But I like to spoil myself when it comes to cars, that's why I'm looking for a Limited .
