Little up date. They are done minus paint and putting the zerks on. they came out awesome. and for what they are in comparison to a jeep disco thats similar, they are really quiet. I hope they work as good as they came out. Im thinking im gonna paint them red to kind of match my truck

Good looking design, I can see it doing well possibly with a few revisions that have been mentioned here. I would be very interested in a set if the bugs that have been stated can get worked out, or proved to not matter.

These work great!!! Just gotta take them back off, fillet one edge and paint them Here are the pics.

side by side

Flexed out in this position but enough to show how they function.


Here is my only concern but i think the front was atleast 90% flexed out, the rest is going to come from the rear. the sway bar next the frame. there is another 1/2in before it hits i think its going to be just fine but i need to go test some more actualy looking at the pic you can see the front bump not in contact...opinions here on this one please guys.


As far as getting the pins in and out, it was way easier then i was expecting. lay under there, jiggle the truck but the sliders with one arm and push/or pull on the pin and they slide right in and out. Now on to some more testing and paint

well back to the drawing board...they work great, lets the truck flex great, pins are easy to remove/install. they are 100% go if your wheels are strait...... if you turn while FULLY flex, the sway bar itself pushes into the tire and i wasnt even at full lock. im gonna cut them down a ~3/4 and see if it changes anything but as of right now im kinda bummed. gotta think of something else. ill see if i can get pics. truck looks awesome with the front flexed out however


Here is it fully flexed

Here you can see the hole and thers ~2 inches still in the tube so its not coming out anytime soon

heres the swaybar vs frame. there is still about 1/8in clearence but shortening them down will fix that

and heres the big problem....i still had anoth 3/4 turn left in the steering wheel.

any ideas on how to fix it. its not like its just "close"

yea...who needs tires anyway hahaha. oh well it was worth a shot. maybe i can come up with something else that might work. im not not going down without a fight haha

If you really want it flexed you need to put the weight on the front. Not lift the front.

Also, You should think about turning the pictures to the proper orientation before uploading them to PB. My neck kind of hurts after reading your posts.

Regardless. Sucks that crap is rubbing. I vote you just ditch the bar all together. To each their own.

Sorry about the crappy pics and them not being strait ill try and fix it for next time. Im pretty sure i had it as flexed as good as its going to get. I could rock it on 2 tires. I have a couple more ideas on how i might fix this but its gonna be complicated. Im gonna see what i can do tho. I have proof of concept now i just gotta work the bugs out.

Well i think i might have some kind of solution but its going to bed a little more complex and it will involve a limit strap for the sway bar link itself ( kinda makes me wonder if its even worth it). With rev1 i used up about 4.25inches of extension. If i make a colapsable version i can only get about 3.5-3.75 inches of travel in the links so i would need a limit strap on the links themselves. With this design im going to get about 85% of the suspension travel and then it will be hindered by the sway bar but it wont take to much more force to get the full last 15% of travel out. I think for me, sense my truck is more of a weekend wheeler and DD it will be a perfect compromise. Now i just gotta build them and see what happens.

Well i went back to the drawing board i think i came up with something that might work. i *think* it will clear everything but i really need to go look some more, i have the week off so i might actually have some time to really design these, i dont have access to the shop right now so no building thing week

Anyway what do you think. I really didnt like the idea of making limit straps these are kind of limited in themselves. anyway take a look and these are by NO MEANS perfect and i have no idea if they are going to clear everything.



and the big square block is my hiem representation, didnt feel like drawing it or looking it up so i made it simple.

They dont work, the bind up in the actual hole on the sway bar. They are just end links not and work great.
