biggest tire on stock suspension??

I was wondering what the biggest tire you can get on a stock suspension & rim setup. I have a 1992 sr5 4-runner with the big tire pakage. It also has the factory running boards and slpash guards. It has the V6 with a 5 spd.

got my facts straight:

The year for the Medallist series is 92. It was made for Canada. They only made 400 for all of Canada. It only came in the green mica metallic. It has every available option there was in 92 including fender flares and a unique rear spoiler, running boards and stripe.

I can snap some. All I did was cut some of the plastic on the bottom and hammer the pinch weld down. And actually, at full turn, I have NO rubbing at all. Unless I'm like going over a speed bump at like 15 mphs at full turn... but, I seldom do that... if I ever even do that. I'll take some when I take my g/f to the pregnancy clinic for her appointment later today.

Keggo - have you been out on the trails with full articulation with those yet? I am trying to determine if I can do the 33's with minor mods given I do pull mine down to full artic out in the bush. Also you have nonstock rims, what was the backspacing on those compared to the foactory alloys?

Unfortunately, I've only done minor wheeling. Both my cv's are shot (I have some being shipped to me as we speak), so I can't do any 4wheeling until I get that done. Then I'll tell you how they perform. But so far, with what I have done, there hasn't been any rubbing. If you're going to be running them at full articulation sometimes, just to be safe I would recommend a little bit of lift, as the wheel wells aren't quite big enough to accomodate the 33's if you're talking about stuffing the wheels... I think the factory alloys have like 4. something. These rims have 3.75" backspacing. They are the Series 97 Rockcrawler wheels. You can find them for a pretty good price and fast shipping at 4wheelparts.com. That's where I got mine.

If you take the truck off-road, you'll need to lift and/or do more trimming that you would on-road. I have off-road lift vs. tire size info on the page I posted a link to above. There is a full writeup there on an IFS pickup and an IFS 2nd gen 4Runner there, both running 33x12.50 tires on 15x8 rims (4.75" backspacing) with 1" body lifts and cranked up torsion bars w/ fender trimming. Both trucks are used off-road and both work well. Follow the links off the page above and you can read all about the trucks and see lots of pictures, etc.
