Question Any Experiences on diesel swaps?

Hey I am new to this form... not new to toyota. This is my second 4 runner and my first real 4runner(4wd). I've had it for a while and the engine feels weak. I really want to swap a diesel engine in it and I haven't found much out there that the "Clean" swaps I want. I have been looking at several of the 3.0L engines and I was told that a Mercedes-Benz Diesel drops in.

Could some please give me some first hand opinions?

What engine do you have now? If you have the 3.4 the easiest way to more power is a supercharger.

the best swap you could do for a diesel is the 1kzte, would cost a pretty penny though and you would have to use an auto tranny most likely, the mercendes does not simply "drop in" there is a ton of fab work involved along with wiring and making things fit right, as long as you have expereicne, anything can be done
