98 5vzfe no fuel pressure after hg
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I got a problem. So I have a 98 4runner(manual) after 255k my head gasket went out. So I followed the fsm and replaced it but after putting everything back I get a code p0100 and there is no fuel pressure on the hose before the rail. After I noticed this I loosened the fuel rail and its completely dry. I checked and I didn't see a fuse for the fuel pump but the EFI and ECU fuses are still good. I'm wondering if there is could be a problem with my wiring harness? because the plastic covers were really brittle and was cracking as I was removing it. If so, is there a difference from a auto and manual harness?
so to sum it up, I got no fuel and a p0100 code.

Vac lines are all back. I just checked and the cars isn't getting spark either... I really thinking it might be the harness so i'm going to try and peel off the loom and check the wires.

It usually comes on when the key is turned on then I recieves its signal from the ECU when the ECU detects the crank sensor signal it the way I understand it! If you don't have spark check to make sure the crank sensor working correctly and that the harmonic balancer is tightened down properly. If the crank is loose it wheel allow the lugs on the timing belt pulley move around and the crank sensor will not pickup the proper signal.

I was trying to follow the fsm to see where the problem is coming from but my ecu only has 4 plugs, where as the fsm for the 2002 has 5. were there a few revisions of the engine? Also I believe that the pulley is down as I zapped it with my gun. oh yeah if it was the crank sensor then wouldn't it give me a code?

very embarrassing but I figured it out thanks to searching this forum at 3 in the morning... here is the thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f2/r...50/index3.html
so what happened was that when I was taking the heads off the engine harness was in the way so i asked my gf nephew to unplug it from the dash so we can remove it and I guess he didnt clip it back in properly... took 1 minute to go out there and check. now I can get my car back. Thanks TRX and Vital for the ideas.
