97 Runner - Brake or Drivetrain issue??

I've searched this forum, but haven't really come across anyone that has described anything similar to my issue.

After I stop, from almost any speed, when I let off the brake, the front end seems to 'sink'. The best way I can describe what it *feels* like is maybe reverse axle-wrap, like the front control arms are possibly twisting forward due to the brake action, then settling when the brakes are released. Does this make any sense? I tried to (safely) duplicate this with my dad watching the front end when I pulled into the garage and stopped, but he wasn't really able to see anything move.

I thought it might be worn bushings, and plan to replace them. Any other ideas?
