Not sure about the 4runner tranny, but in my 04 taco, I am able to go thru all 5 gears in low and then (depress clutch) flip into HI while moving at what ever speed. The manual even says that I can move from lo to hi at any speeds....just not the other way around. It's kinda like driving a semi again.

I'll do that, I'm just looking for more holding power, not a puck style racing clutch. I had a Clutchmasters stage 4 in my old Nissan Sentra SE-R and it held great, I'm just not sure that it would be great for towing?

I found your post...

I just ordered a South Bend Full Face Feramic Clutch (not a puck style). You won't see our application listed on the website, but call and they can build you anything you want.

Just explain your application and they will know what you need. I talked to Andy.
