Just need the dimensions of the shifter base, length, width, bolt hole spacing and location of the shifter pivot point. Below is the 3.0/V6 spacer plate, roughly square with slightly offset front and back bolt holes and the shifter pivoting in the center of that bolt pattern:



Or if measuring is too hard, then a tracing of the shifter base showing the bolt hole locations and shifter pivot point will work, or if you have a little down time, pull the shifter and send it to me to make up a spacer to fit.

there should be a plate that bolts the shifter down to the t case corrct? so if i take measurements off that you would be able to tell me if the 3.0 v6 kit works??

Yes, typically has 4 bolts that hold the shifter base down to the top of the case:
