1987 P/U, Brake Rotor Removal
HOW DO U GET THE BRAKE ROTORS OFF THE FRONT??? please help as sooooooon as possible!!!

For an '85 4x4 you have to remove the axle hub then separate the rotor from the hub there are two bolts that hold the rotor to hub tighten to 34 ft-lbs on reassembly

tHERE ARE ACTUALLY TWO LARGE NUTS...AND A LOCK WASHER THEY BOTH HAVE TO COME OFF. ALSO DID YOU GET THE HUB OFF. THERE ARE CONE WASHERS AND THEY ARE A BEAR TO GET OFF....YOU NEED TO USE A BRASS ROD AND A HAMMER TO LOOSEN THEM....I DID THIS JOB A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO ON MY 87 4RUNNER...GOOD LUCK

I just ordered a hub puller from http://www.hendrixmotorsports.com/_wsn/page3.html Should be arriving any day now. I hear it makes the cone washers a snap to deal with. Good luck. By the way, the hub puller was only $19.95 + $9 shipping. Less than $30. Scroll down the page to find it.
