Unless it's a new CAM, it's just about the oil/metals therein. Personally, I would run it for around 30 minutes on cheapest oil you can find on sale, change the oil, then 1000 miles, change the oil, then back to normal. You know, 'NOW DRIVE IT LIKE YOU OWN IT'! The 30 minute thing is just to get any of the debris/metals falling off the fresh rings, etc., and engine assembly lube outta there, right quick, and then just drive it till 1000 to get the rings to fully seat(they should have by then, AT THE LATEST).

start with 30W Non-Detergent
Break new cam in for 20 min at 2500 RPM, shut off, and
change the oil (30W ND)
start and run just like you used to drive it, just try to not maintain a speed, vary it a little bit. up and down 5 mph consistently. do this for 100 miles.
change the oil (30W ND)
drive it completely normal for another 500 miles,
change the oil (5W-30)
and then get onto your normal 3K mile oil change intervals for 15K.
don't bother with synthetic. waste of money if you buy a true synthetic. anything affordable that claims to be a synthetic is not a true syn. only a blend. so stick with castrol or quaker state. and for the love of god no fram filters. so much hate for fram. the construction is garbage. keep on top of your oil changes and use quality filters regularly and you wont have a problem. (I've built quite a few 20R/22RE's, all using this method)

Ok everything was going good until about 5 min of engine start up. There seems to be a ginormous leaf I'm guess from the piston rings again!!! Ther was more smoke from before and my only hope now is to take it out again and take it in for some machining.

Yeah, that's why I was hoping you'd have the block dial indicator tested and make certain the holes aren't Eggs. (I think you did, no?)

Can you do an in depth rehash of everything done to/invested in this motor? I'm curious if you've done the guides and such, just can't remember, sorry. Maybe a;
1. Head is fully rebuilt using >>>>>>>
2. Timing kit new
3. New rings on PO's pistons/PO's Block
4. Etc., ???
5. Had the pistons thoroughly tested for damage, etc.(??)

Everything was working good before just a lot of oil consumption then the head gasket blow. That was when I decided to rebuild the engine. There was no blue smoke before the rebuild so I assuming the cylinders are not egged out
Cylinder head only have the valve stem seals changed...didn't do the guides. O yeah also had it checked and deck and was in good shape
Timing chain was reused cause I'm cheap and put in new chain guides and that was it
Rings are .20 (.50mm) over size on PO's piston. I measures the piston but didn't record it so I forgot what it was hehe

Took the boys and girlfriend to see some snow today. Didn't go really far at all until I started to lose traction due to "almost" bald tires
Doug (small one) looks weird cause he's wearing a jacket and Socrates, like he's always doing, enjoying the snow
And only spot we can park so we won't get stuck cause the 4:56 is not yet in the front haha

It's getting there more on the melting side but there was a light snow fall rite before we got there. Fresh snow on the road mixed with the wet water caused us to lost traction haha
