Sparticus's 1991 4runner build up thread
Well here we go i think im far enough along that i should do a build thread.
I started with a bone stock 1991 4runner, auto 3.0L V6, 31's, 3.30 gears. I wheeled it way to much in stock form and decided that i need to start the mods.
Front: i have Solid axle swapped the front with rear leafs up front, high steer, FJ80 tierod ends, rebuilt axle 1980 4.10s, Extreme mountain ryder foam filled shocks, custom bumpstops welded to the u-bolt flip plate, Square front driveshaft, went 45mph no shakes!
Rear: Fj80 coils, 4.10's, lockright locker stock arms
Tires: 35X12.50X15 mud terrians, custom wheels
Things im in the middle of: When i did my SAS i used a friends shop and my friend helped me too. Well he was really stuck on making my tire centered in the wheel well. He did make it centered but the tierod hit the oil pan and i still rubbed alot. So now im moving the axle forward with new slightly higher springs in the front, putting in a 1985 front housing that will be fully gusseted, rocksliders and a skid plate, and a new frontbumper
Future plans: Long arm three link the rear, link the front with coilovers, 4.7 geared transfercase, 37's, locker in the front, custom front and rear bumpers, bobb the rear, 4.88 gears

Yeah your right 4.30's sorry for the typo, that is what i had but i ended up getting 4.10's for their cheapness and i didnt think i could run the 4.30's with the 4.37's that came in the front axle

Here is the 35's i put on shortly after i SAS'd it, the lockright i put in the rear, and lengthening the stock 1980 front drive shaft which ended up being to short at full articulation and would come out if you hit the brakes on a up hill, so i replaced it with a square drive shaft

91 suspension
no i still am rocking the stock control arms with 5 inches of lift. You will need to lengthen your rear panhard bar to make your axle center again or make a new one.
As far as the front just make sure that if you SAS it make your front mounts as far forward as the front support and you be fine
