Thanks guys! My dad actually shot a coat of clear on it yesterday while i was at work and then we installed it this morning. I'll have to take some better pics. They never come out good in direct sunlight.
Right now the only thing I'm waiting for is some tag lights. Usps tracking said they were delivered to my house two days ago, but i havent seen them.

I really like the new bumper. You should do your dad a favor and make us bumpers from the rest of his hoard/pile.

I guess I can call this the bumper build wrap-up. I finally got my license plate bulbs in on Tuesday, I believe. In the 3 1/2 years I've owned the truck, the lights that were already on the truck never worked and I never got pulled over for it, but I figured its better to be safe than sorry. Plus for $7 or so, why not?
Anyways, the first thing I did was fasten the bolt to the bumper. I had to re-tap my existing holes to 1/4"-28, which I thought was so stupid. 1/4"-20 is a much more common size. Then to get both lights to aim down, I had to try a couple different washer combinations.
After that, I figured out why the original lights wouldn't work. Turns out both bulbs were burnt out and the drivers side socket wasn't getting any power. It also had some hackjob repair by the PO. As you can see, it looks like the original wire broke, so he tried to use one of those cheesy blue wire splices to fix it. I didn't want to even touch that, so I felt the easiest thing to do was just wire both LEDs in parallel to the passenger side socket since they draw such low current.

Friday, I bought and installed a new distributor cap and rotor to fix a misfiring issue. The old rotor wss basically non-existant.
I took the truck to a local car show kind of as a joke and I ended up coming home with a trophy
To make it sweeter I won a trickle charger as a door prize. Well worth the $10 registration fee lol.

I got bored today and decided to clean up the hackjob of vacuum lines I created when I did my ISR mod. There are three lines, but the kit I bought only had two ports in the intake tube, so I created this contraption of hoses and reducers and crap just to get it running so I could take it to school the next day.
Now, three years later I finally fixed it. Not bad for an hour or so of work. Now I can remove my oil cap without having to remove the one hose.

I did feel finally remove the stripes. It felt wrong...now the truck is like a cobra without any venom lol

Today, I built my headlight relay harness for my H4 swap. I bought the housings and bulbs on Sunday and they have yet to arrive, so I figured I'd get the harness done so I can just throw it all in at once.
This would have been the post where I had differences between sealed beam vs. sealed beam w/ upgraded harness, but I couldn't get my harness to work.
I built my harness, plugged it all in and I got nothing. I used the passenger side headlight plug for the switch to turn the relays on and off, so I put both relays behind the battery on the fender so you can't see them. In testing and checking, I must have removed the battery AT LEAST 15 times and I have used over 5 schematics from the internet, just to check everything. I am 1,000,000% sure this thing is wired correctly.
5 hours into all this, I decided to throw in the towel for the day as I was just getting more and more PO'ed. So I put everything back to normal and I turn the lights on and I get this.
As you can see, the passenger light is very dim. At this point, I wanted to just pour gasoline over the entire truck and garage and just burn it to the ground. So I pull the battery out, yet again , to check the plug for damage. None. Then I FINALLY think to check the fuse. I took it out and it looked like partially blown. I throw a new one in and it's fine again.
So, my guess is that the fuse blew the very first time I plugged the harness in and there wasn't enough current to turn the relays on. I'll have to test it all again tomorrow. Right now, I'm done with it today.
