Mahindra Trucks (thoughts)
So it appears that the US will soon be getting a quad cab turbo diesel compact truck (been dreaming of one for a looooooooong time). So what do you guys think?
I like the 30mpg
Diesel powah
definately needs aftermarket bumpers/armor

Got an email the other day saying this was delayed. It seems there are dealerships built and waiting on trucks but indian factories are not coming through as promised.

It's too bad GM cancelled their 4.5 Duramax project, I'm sure they could've been near 30 mpg with half ton capability. We already have the Hilux truck available here in Canada through JDM retailers so I'd probably get that over this thing if I wanted a small diesel.

A mahindra tractor came into the equipment dealership where I work part time. It was having charging problems and the steering was slow to respond , the tractor only has 371 hrs on it. There was nothing impressive about it. So to get to the point, if the trucks are made the same as the tractors I would pass on them.

my motor blew with 172,000 miles on it does that mean that every 22r owner should get rid of their engine before 172,000 miles? Hardly not. My point is the previous owner probably didn't do regular oil changes and maintenance on it. So using 1 experience on that particular manufacture's product, probably shouldn't be used to judge the rest of them.
I wonder why that site was unplugged though. Not like the company went under or nothing. Probably because there is no real demand for compact diesel pickups.
