FS: Performance 22re head
For sale is my aluminum Toyota late model 22R/RE head. I redid this head for my 86 4 runner 22RE and put just around 13,000 miles on it and am ready to move on to a new rig. Honestly this is one heck of a built head, it combined with the rest of my engine mods gave me over an 80 horsepower increase at the crank (dyno tested) and it was a whole new rig once I got this head on and working for me.
From bottom to top here's the rundown: Shaved .020 for a compression of 9.5:1 with stock pistons. which ran GREAT on 87 octane. Full port and polish on the intake and exhaust plus cleaned up the crud in the combustion chambers. 48mm intake, 40mm stainless swirl port valves, Dual valve springs, new guides and retainers, Valve clearance was set to 0.008" (intake) and 0.010" (exhaust) hot, and everything was properly broke in.
All work was done by only the very best in Spokane Washington. Cylinder Head Service did the head work and Bill Plazzi did all the porting. Shelley Performance Dyno Center did the install and break in on the head and engine itself. If you want any of the phone numbers or emails/websites of the shops or guys that did the work, let me know and they're yours. You can also check out www.SpokaneSpeed.com for the forums and see what every racer in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho has to say about the shops that did the work.
As you can see in the pics all I did was spray it down so the buyer may want to hot tank it but by no means do you need to in order to run it. All it will take is just scrapping of the last bits of gaskets and you're good to go. Oh and the matching cam bearings can go with if you want them.
Check my craigslist link for pics:

If it needs to be shipped shoot me your zip code and I'll do the estimate on 25lbs through UPS.

Yep $325 and considering that just the valves and springs cost me $205 and the porting $125, with the rest of the work that went into it on top of that, its a heck of a price.
