My truck measures 17 1/8, do you think there is enough room to drill the mounting holes for the bolts with 1/8 play on each side? Also, you think there would there be a fee for getting it shipped into the US?

The holes on the brace are 17 5/8 apart (inner edge of hole to inner edge of hole) - so you should have room, you would be 2/8" in (before the side of the holse starts) on each arm. I called UPS and there are no UPS charges other than shipping for items under $200 in value and there would ne duties because it was originally made in the USA.

That 17 5/8 is gonna be close, I'd have to elongate the holes outward. Will the diff come out if the unit is welded on to the frame? I thought I remember reading a conversation about that.

There is under 3/8" (5/16" to be exact) between the outer edge of the holes & the edge of the brace.

I am not to sure about the welding thing - I don't have my truck anymore so I can't even crawl under & take a look.
