I'm looking to get some new tires soon, but in the meantime I'm running on my spare and need to get some replacement tires fast. Money is really tight at the moment, so new tires are going to be put off until 2 months.

I have 30x9.50 r15 tires at the moment, but the stock size for my truck is 225 / 75 / r15. The used tires I'm looking at are 235/70 r 15. Would these still fit on the stock rims? I'm not looking for something the same size I have now. In fact, I'm looking for something a little bit smaller.

Also, if anyone is in the northern colorado area and has some good deals, let me know.

i also found some tires but with a radius of 16". Will those still fit on the stock 15" rims?

I've been considering them as well. But the local tires I'm finding for sale are like $10 and $15. I'm seriously just looking to get something to last me a month or two. If you saw my spare tire, you'd probably do the same. In fact, I may get a picture and post here to give you all a good laugh.

I'm needing at least 2 tires. One to replace the spare and one for another replacement. My valve stem went bad on my last tire (still has good tread left) but no shops want to repair it because I drove on the tire too much when it went flat. I really had no choice, that sucker went flat fast.

The 225/75 r 15s are pretty darn close to 30x9.5r15. Yes the 235s will fit your stock rims. You probably wont even be able to tell much difference in size.

16 inch tires will NOT fit your 15 inch rims....Because they are 16 inch tires...

I'm still tempted to go with treadwright. Do they just ship USPS to your door? do they require signatures?

If you can get to a larger city, see if they have a used wheel/tire shop. You can usually find a set of 4 tires there for a good price. Or try a 4x4 shop that installs larger tires, they may have some relatively new take offs from someone who had larger tires installed.

I have not used them yet so I'm not sure...It's going to be awhile till I need tires but when I do I'm using them.

I was going to recommend the same thing, but in a small town.

Either way, go to your local tire shop and ask. They should be able to point you at someone who can hook you up on the cheap.

craigslist my man. auto parts section. Do not risk your life on thin tread or iffy sidewalls.

I found Michelins for cheap. Winter has arrived. People in Boulder always dumping stuff for dirt cheap. If you can hang in there till winter break CSU and CU tires will be soldoff dirt cheap so they can get out of town.
