Chevy wheels with machine job/spacers
I found a set of wheels on CL that i went and picked up for $200 that are real nice. (http://www.wheelsbymbmotoring.com/pr...hp?wheel=Shock) I picked them up from a guy that was running them on a chevy pickup that, obviously, has a smaller hub than my runner. Ive searched greatly on this topic and just want to know yall's opinions on my options.
1. I know ive heard of guys getting the wheels machined larger to the size of the toyota hub. This is perfectly fine with me however, i only spent 200 on the wheels and the places that ive talked to say that they want 110 per wheel to machine them (anyone around sacramento get this done?) and thats if they can even do it. first of all this seems a bit pricey and second i dont know if it will be safe given how damn big the toyo wheel hub is.
2. I have seen guys on here running wheel spacers and i was wondering if this would solve my problem. In theory it seems like it would and at like 80 bucks or so it seems like the way to go. Yes? No? And the other part of this is if the spacers do work should i run them in the front and the back or just in the front.
If neither of these things seem like they will work out I will probably just end up selling the wheels again. I know i could at least make my money back but that is the last thing i wanna do because im pretty fond of these wheels.

Which vehicle are they going on...? me thinks if its the 95 in your truck your going to need a reeeaaally big wheel spacer, idk how big, but I know they make 3" ones, but me also thinks that would just be plain unsafe, not to mention it'll put way to much stress on suspension components. I say just sell the wheels and buy some new ones..Lesson learned: TEST FIT FIRST....

no its an 01. and i forgot about the wheel hub size so i didnt test fit but regardless i would have probably bought the wheels anyways just to flip em and make some money off of them. i think i can easily get 300 for them. i found em on CL cause the guy posted in a location that is in the middle of no where so no one even probably saw the post.
but regardless... on the 01 the hub only sits out about an inch or so cause its the auto-locking hubs.

I would think that the easiest thing to do would be to use large nuts and/or washers behind one of the wheels and see if the spacer idea will actually gain you what you need.
I would only suggest that you do this on one side with the truck firmly on jackstands and experiment away.
I am not sure what sizes spacers are made in since I have never used them but I would stick to common sizing like 1/2", 3/4", 1", etc. until you see what you need, I personally wouldn't go beyond 1 1/2".
