Has anyone ever had this problem where your balancing is only off when you first drive off in the morning. In other words only when the tires cold.

Toyota balanced them at 30lbs and it was ok for a while, but bad when the tires were cold.

then I raised it to 35 lbs, and it cooled down to 34 lbs, but the balancing was good.

then I let them sit over night and lower them the next morning to 32lbs cold.

now steering wheel shakes at 32 in the morning, but when the tires warm up after 15mins or so, the vibrations stop.

I told toyota my theory about the colds tires and they thought it was a pretty dumb comment. The tech said, its just the road conditions.

Has anyone ever experienced this cold/hot balancing?

Yep. Many times.
First, old bias ply tires did that horribly. Second, if you park em warm in the evening and it gets cold at night, they'll be more likely to do that. Some tires are made of compounds that are really prone to do this. No worries.

Almost all tires do that to some degree, some are just more noticable than others. When it sits overnight the tires get a flat spot in them. Once you warm them up after driving, they lose the flat spot and everything is ok.

Should i just be keeping them at 34 - 35 cold since that the the lbs that it is least likely to vibrate at, or that too high?
