22r into a 80 ypta
took 2 yrs to build it and alot of headaches to get it running (carbs )(rebuilt the weber trying it tomorrow).
83 22r
83 head decked 30 thousandth ,over sized ss valves, stiffer vavle springs ,crane 272 cam . hopefully the weber will work (having problems with the engine staying running with the 22r carbs ) ,heddman header

this should be in the Other Toyota Swaps Section not here
Corey can you sticky something about this being an area for discussion about the merits of all swaps specific specific swap questions and specific swap info needs to be filed under its individual header.
btw nice swap hope you get it going

sorry if i posted in the wrong section MODS please move it for me
also update:
got it running found 2 stripped intake bolts (my fault for letting my buds son put it on he wanted to do it ). and a bent plate for the pvc to connect to the intake sucking air bad (had to use the one off of the 20r .since the wiring harness' are different from a 80 to a 83 we had to relocate some things used the 20r starter but swap the oil sending units to fit. used the water temp sending units from the 20r so it would connect to the factory guages .
rebuilt the weber 32/36 found the gaskets that came with the lc engineering adapter plates looked cheap so i made new ones .made a small plate to move the throttle linkage since it was offset alot and wouldnt pulle straight .
taking it slow right now keeping it under 3500 rpms till the motor breaks in .i can already feel the difference between the old wore out 20r and this one .
other things plan is putting a chevy 1 wire alt on relocating the battery and going dual, bending some daimond plate up for the console and replacing the factory guages with aftermarket. but first its repalce rear spring and making a anti wrap bar ,install the bucket seats and hook up the 4 point harness(hopefully this weekend)
