I finally got the hood back with good news and bad news: they did a good job on the sculpting and fill work but a terrible job on the paint color. I'm getting too old to fight with them, so I took the hood, and now I'll get the entire cab painted! I think I'll start on the SC in December. Anyone hear of any good deals on this unit? http://photobucket.com/motorhomeengineswap

Alternator Bracket: I didn't cut anything down, but I did some bending. I'll post a pic that should make it clear.

I paid $650 for the wiring--money well spent.

Captainjack, Can you tell us the part numbers for the hoses, also if you can the alternator belt you used...

I'm doing the last little bit on the engine now! Hope to be pulling the 3.0L in January

Thanks!

Andrew.

Andrew,
The upper hose is Dayco C71765
Lower hose is Dayco C71620
I didn't have to cut anything--perfect fit
I'll get the number of the alt. belt a little later. I have someone working on the RV ac right now.

Thank you Captainjack! I will be ordering those hoses...

I have heard that you can use the 3.0L lower alternator adjustment bracket, then you can use Napa micro-v belt # 25-040405

You used the 3.4L adjustment bracket, just made it shorter. Did you just cut and then re-bend the end? (Engine block side)

Thanks again !!!

Andrew.
