Swap wont start (fuel issue)

I swapped a working 3.4 into a 88 4runner that was not running. The previous owner told me that it got rained on then a day or so later died. I swapped in the 3.4, new ecu and COR. Also did a fuel pump and fuel filter. The fuel filter was very dirty. I gave it a very small squirt of starter fluid and it started then died. I am getting 12v at the fuel pump. I guess my next step should be checking the fuel pressure? There is no rust on this truck. All of the fuel lines are good. When I was flipping the fuel lines, I think I put some extra torque on the fuel rail. Could that inhibit the flow?

46 psi at the cold start injector. I'll look at the injectors next. I guess that would be a wiring mistake if they arent getting a pulse? I can find anything in the fsm about it.

3.4 has a cold start injector? I'm sure it's just a wiring issue. Hope it's easy enough to figure out. I know you thought you'd be cruisin by now.

I'm not sure there is a cold start injector on the 3.4?

Air, fuel and spark.

We know you're getting air if you were able to kick it over with starting fluid, and most likely you have some spark. I'd check the fuel pressure, see if you can borrow an inline fuel pressure gauge. But honestly in these swaps if it was anything I'd bet it's something simple ie a wiring mistake.

Scope out the white/blue wire off the ECM and make sure it has power.

Sorry. I just was thinking in 3.0 terms about the cold start. I tested the fuel pressure as it specifies in the fsm. I tested the B+ port in the engine diagnostic port and I didnt get any voltage. So something is definitely up with my B+ wiring. I will look into the 88 ewd I kind of have and see if i can figure it out. I'll post up my links in case anyone is curious.
96 ewd 1
96 ewd 2
the monch pinout (the relevant info is pin 12 on n5- pg 4, 11)
scanned 88 ewd (I found this on yotatech. I dont have access to a higher quality)

So I just tested the B+ wire on he body side and it is not putting out any voltage. All the fuses look good. Any ideas?

Its hard to read the 88 ewd but i know on my 93 that circuit comes off the efi relay and is powered via a 15 amp fuse under the hood, and a switched power IGN 7.5 fuse in the drivers kick. It needs both of those power supplies and a good EFI relay to supply power to the B+ on the ecu and circuit opening relay

Good post, I sent a PM last night stating the same things. BTW, here's a much better copy of the EWD https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f160...m-help-209237/ It's toward the bottom, MudHippy's post.
