No power checked fuses

So the last two days the swap has been working like a champ, and all of a sudden on my way to Home Depot, I heard a click and no power. I checked the fuses under the dash, under the hood and everything looks fine. I'm not sure which fuse the battery one is, as i don't have the top cover for the engine bay fuse box.

I tried to remove the 80 amp fuse and the sucker will not budget.

Super lame!

Got it working. I had to pull apart the engine bay fuse box, and inspected the 80 fuse. One side was hot and the other not. Changed out the fuse and good to go.

hopefully that is a fluke deal but to pop an 80amp fuse you may have some serious issues. Id trace everything down real good and make sure you do not have anything rubbing, shorting somewhere.

and carry a spare!!

I agree with dntsdad. That thing must have been corroded pretty badly. that is a huge fuse.

well it was the original fuse. the copper wire inside the fuse was nice and green. looked to me the clear plastic housing got some kind of water inside. Funny thing is it decided to do it now with the new swap in. I guess the truck gods trying to play a joke on me.
