Not a bad idea. even if they "work" doesn't necessarily mean it'll "work" lol get what im sayin?

What's up everyone. Haven't been on here in a while. Fortunately I'm back to work. I'm a laborer I'm the union so I work long days. 10-12 hours. Hard for me to get spare time with my truck but I've been going at it every opportunity I get.
Got the right engine mounts, lifted the engine with tranny and swapped them out. Didn't change anything with the rubbing on my fan shroud but ill shave a little off, no biggy.
I got a different R134 A/c compressor and mounted it. My a/c line screws don't line up though >.< ill try to figure that out later. At least it's on.
My Engine wiring harness it routed correctly, (I believe). Heat taped everywhere around my exhaust. Most everything is plugged in aside from a few wires that feed to the drivers side of the tranny. A little lost on those. I got my conversion harness from ORS. And started with the routing of that. Everything in my cab is done except a place for a body ground on my drivers side. OBD is mounted, ECU is all plugged in, same with body harness. Routed through firewall, now i just need to do some soldering. I don't know where my reverse light switch wire is that I have to solder my ORS harness to. Probably need to buy a wiring diagram.
I can't seem to find a picture or guide on how to route my heater hoses. I can see on a 3.4l where they go but I'm not sure if that's the same place as I need mine routed. Any help on that or a picture would be awesome. Hoping my 3.0 hoses will work
Thanks everyone. Fun project. Getting close.

I'll try and get you a picture later this evening if someone doesn't beat me to it but I re-used my 3.0 hoses. Good progress! happy to help another union man! Im a union Low Voltage Electrician out of IBEW.

Also can help with depicting which connector does what with your trans harness if you can post pic's of each connector seperately

Well its called your transmission harness but its tied into your engine harness already so I think you should already have every connector you need regardless. and i think that ORS should have provided wires for it. If they dont have connectors you can just cut the ones off your 3VZ and solder them onto the harness that ORS gave you but I bet you've got them already. No pics yet, sorry. Worked literally all weekend

That's where the engine harness feeds out by my tranny. Guess that's what you're saying is the transmission harness.
Here's my wires hanging that im lost on.

I got this harness when I bought the engine and engine harness. I think it's the 3.4l harness that feeds to your drivers side kick panel and out through fender well by new battery placement. Don't think I need it, but I'm curious about it cause it has two light bulbs on it. Maybe for the rear or front and I thought tranny harness because it has a Uhaul trailer harness wired around it. Yet none of the plugs match up to my engine harness(at least by my transmission). Name: DFED918F-0421-47A8-8DBD-3A1D605FA3DB-322-000000215D9B2D41_zps6b387a05.jpg

It's got this boot on the end, and these two main plugs got a ton of gunk in them. I don't want to use it just by the look of it so hoping its just trash. Name: 4CE037BF-C1E0-4CE3-8AFB-44DA31534A6E-322-000000214BEE4EF9_zps92906e24.jpg

K the pic with the grommet. That harness I THINK is irrelevant. Dont trash it till your all done. Those connectors on your harness that drops down by the exhaust are the connectors as follows from longest to shortest: longest, looks like a VSS (vehicle speed sensor 3 pin) connector. the next one up looks like your t-case connector that detects your 4wd and turns on the indicator light on the dash. the next two that look identical that you are holding, one is for your reverse light's, and one plugs into the side of the tran's (forget what its for lol). and that shortest one that has 4 pins is your down flow O2 sensor which if you havent already will need to be added to your down pipe (as seen in my swap thread).

Also, I remember before you started a dedicated 3.4 swap thread we were discussing in another thread if you had a electronic speed sensor (VSS) and i had you take a picture of your t-case for me to see if you have a VSS....Do you remember that? or maybe it wasn't even you but i need to see a pic of the top of your t-case where there is any connector plug in's in it if that makes sense.

And here's my 1 o2 sensor. I pulled off my exhaust and only have the down pipe that connects to my crossover. It has an o2 in it with a plug coming out for before my cat.

Ya man. so it looks to me that you have all the connectors accounted for you need on your drivetrain harness and on your t case and transmission. the only thing though is that VSS that came on your drivetrain harness. I dont think you will be using that but dont lop it off. You probably wont be using that since you've got a cable driven speed sensor. And I understand the busy at work thing. I had to work late last night till like 11 and obviously couldn't get out to my truck in time to take pictures but i will send you them lol. did you order wiring diagrams? you cant just go color for color. what i did before doing any wiring is taped each set of wires that went with each connector and labeled the tape what connector they came from. Im STILL working out some wiring issues myself. Figuring out the OBD2 wiring, SMH so frustrating sometimes. And it sounds like i have a mis-fire which it just started doing intermittently (or however the hell you spell that word). Just can't find time between work, up keep on the yard and everything on the house and my honey do list....

Ya that sounds rough. Luckily I got the conversion harness from ORS so it simplified a ton of this for me, I'm just no good with wiring haha. There's a few wires to solder off of my ORS harness like 4wd indicator and reverse lights I'm wondering if those just get spliced on and I don't worry about my tranny harness. Or if I just splice directly from my tranny harness to those plugs I took pictures of. Or if I splice the connectors off of my 3vz harness to my tranny harness (5vz)

Looking at the pics you posted about the trans, those plugs go into the trans of the donor. Do you still have the stock trans harness the was on your truck? All you have to do is splice the old plugs into the newer harness. Should only be four wires for the trans harness.(Since you have a mechanical speedometer)Plus the wires for the O2's. Two for the transfer case, and two for the reverse lights which should run up and you need to splice into your trucks body harness.
