How'd your www.motiveproducts.com bleeder work? I think it looks like a pretty dandy tool to have around, and the price doesn't seem too bad.

Perfectly It did exactly what we expected of it. As far as I am concerned, that is the *ONLY* way to bleed brakes.

unless I fab up some other way of holding it down instead of the chain that comes with it...

Sorry I dont have pics but unlike most others... I have room for a compressor on the passenger side of the engine bay... why?

because I have all my friggin hoses and crap spidering out of my master cylinder... i think all my abs stuff and well... it just wont work....

when jowie bled his brakes... we were going to do mine... then we found out it wont work...

so you put Brake fluid inside of the bleeder? and pressurize it to 15 punds? When your done, I guess you have to throw out the unused brake fluid? And how about cleanup of the bleeder? Or do you just dump the unused fluidout of and close the cap - which will make it ready for storage until the next time you need it- will that do?

My two cents. First suck what fluid you can out of the master cylinder before you start. Fill it with fresh fluid. BEFORE you fill the bleeder, attach and pressurize the system (in can be tough to get that little sucker on straight and tight). Now, release the pressure, put your clean fluid in the bottle and pressurize the system again.

Starting from the farthest bleeder, typically right rear, bleed away until you see nice clear fluid. Rememeber brake fluid is VERY corrosive. The little extension tube works well to direct the flow to a container. After you are convinced that you got all the nasty old fluid out, release the pressure on the system. Make sure the master cylinder is full, and close it up. Since brake fluid absourbs moisture from the air, and now you have a bunch of fluid exposed without a way to seal it up real well, I dispose what's remaining along with the old fluid at my hazardous waste site.
