I think someone makes a kit.
You will need decent fabricating skills and a basic knowledge of how the engine, trans and suspension works and goes together.
A 302 is a LOT of power to be giving to toyota axles. Is the running gear stock?

thanks for the post.
me and my dad are very good with the 302 engines we are thinking about putting a c6 with it also.
its all stock now but i want to get the right stuff before i start the engine swap because i know the yota stuck would be sketchy! but i want to know whats the best combo. and whats worked good for others?

hello, I was thumbing through the swap articles and found this one But, I hope you haven't bought engine mounts for it yet???? I just dropped my 302 in my 86 4Runner tonight and it was not very satisfying..... well.. it was after the fact, Its mandatory "I" had to use Anchor #2329 motor mounts for it to sit correctly and modify the socket hole to get my socket back out from tightening the mount bolt. The part number is the right one by Advance Adapters but manafacturers of the mount were picky for this. Anyways my engine is in and pretty solid but really wishing I had given Northwest off-road a call. Just my opinion. Stock axles I wouldn't worry about, its the 3rd member I would worry about. I blew up a 93 V6 4x4 w/ 4.36 stock gears 3rd member going 85mph on the 91frwy in california and the axles handled it like a champ, the 3rd member and driveline were a different story as I spun out of control
