Wellsville, OH last weekend of January

From TTORA forum:
http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22360

This will be a stock friendly trail ride. It will be on Saturday, January 28th

We'll plan on meeting at the rest area just South of Wellsville on SR 7 At Rt 213 http://maps.google.com/maps?q=wells...,0.020385&hl=en
between 9:30-10am and go to the trails from there. If anyone is trailering, we'll drop trailers off at the industrial park just outside of the trailhead. We'll probably wheel till 4ish depending on daylight and carnage (stucks...hopefully ). Bring a lunch, and we'll eat dinner in Wellsville after wheeling.

Your vehicle needs to have: decent tires (not bald), front and rear tow points (for the rear a reciever hitch will be fine), and a full size spare tire.
You also need to bring a lunch and beverages (non-alcoholic for the trail)

Recommended, but not absolutely neccessary items are: tow staps, CB, waterproof boots and a spare change of clothes

Depending on which trail head we use there may be a charge of up to $10.00 per person for entrance. You should also bring some $$$ for dinner in town after the ride.

Superposer has volunteered to make a contact list for this run (thanks) please contact him at Rock789@aol.com with your name, phone number, and rig info... he'll put it in a document, and e-mail it back to everyone going the week before the event...
just make sure the heading says something like - jan wellsville trip so he doesn't delete it thinking it's spam...

Here is the list of people attending (or at least attempting to)

I used to live down there (but never wheeled there). If you have any questions about the area or directions, etc let me know. If anyone's around Cleveland/Akron/Canton - let me know and maybe we can set up a convoy!

Hmmm.... maybe I should fly to Ohio for some white hot wheeling action. (And ride along for a change).... I wonder what the wheeling is like out there. Wet huh?

Don't answer that.

How many of you YotaTech kids also freequent TTORA? Just curious. Maybe I need to make a pole.

I hope not.

Make sure you post more events. I used to wheel in Ohio a lot, w/ Formulatoy, I'v spent a lot of time down off of Stone Quarry in and around Vinton county. Anyhow, have a good time, wish I could make it.

I went to the TTORA PA site, and they clarified that "full size spare" means "no donut spares". I will have a 33 with me though.

Cool, I really don't think 1 ince each way would make a difference.

This is a real easy trail right? This will be my first time wheeling with my new runner, and with an auotmatic transmission.

Lamm - there is an unbelievable amount of terrain there. Everything from smooth dirt roads to pretty intense rockcrawling. I had no idea all that was back there. Sounds like there are several stock vehicles going.

Anyone else interested in going? Superposer has volunteered to make a contact list for this run (thanks) please contact him at Rock789@aol.com with your name, phone number, and rig info... he'll put it in a document, and e-mail it back to everyone going the week before the event...

There was one group of hillbillies with a few rifles and a .45 that were shooting into a vallley. I drove by about 12' away from them and just for fun tripped my siren on my 4Runner. They turned and looked and laughed. Just a bunch of good ol' boys.

Everyone we ran into was nice, but I would not go there alone or at night. I think I would be more afraid in Wellsville than on the trails themselves.

Not much has changed then. Always been the place to run in a big group. Thanks for the update.

Where else do you go in Ohio? Other than private and a few very mild places I have gone with my club there is not much to offer.

We run Vinton County exclusively in Ohio. There are 3 trails that connect together to make about 30 plus miles of trail riding. McArthur and Lake Alma area.

We'll be headed that way again in the spring.
