Possible 3rd Gen Added to the Family

So I might be going to pick up this 3rd gen on Sunday for my Cousin. She finally sold her 2wd Jeep Grand Cherokee and i've been helping her find a White 3rd gen 4Runner. And this is what I've come up with. Whatcha think?

Its remarkably clean for its age. Its got a minor ass sag but thats nothing i cant fix. They have all history dating back to 2005. Which consists of all fluid changes, new radiator with a separate trans cooler, and the most recent tune up was done at 197,000, Which also consisted of the timing belt & water pump being done. The truck itself has 216,xxx miles. Its a v6, Automatic. No e-locker. and everything works. It was also grandma driven. They're asking $5,500.

What's everybody think?

Looks really good man. I'd say that's a fair price for its condition. Is it a 96 or a 97? Those bluish grey interiors arn't really that common either.

Clean lookin rig! If they're in Berryessa, probably a good chance it's mostly highway miles too, no? I'd say that's a good deal.

Im assuming its freeway miles. Theres like NOTHING out there. They probably used it to commute to the Bay area or Sacramento area. But im going sunday to pick it up. It'll be a gorgeous rig for her. She's not looking to do anything special with it. Just a small lift, 33x12.50s and a sound system. Typical pavement pounder with a stereo haha.

haha We'll see how that turn to the dark side goes! She was a jeeper ( not by choice, and it was 2wd ) She initially wanted a 2wd 4Runner, but i wasn't having that. She'll probably take it camping, but nothing hardcore wheeling status.

So we picked it up today. Got it for $5,000. it has its pros and cons. Its exceptionally clean inside, the timing belt, fuel injectors, o2 sensors, starter, spark plug, radiator, etc etc and ALL fluids were flushed at 200k miles. It has 216k now. So everything was golden. The only BAD thing about it was that it has clear coat failure on the roof and partially on the hood and it also needs tires soon, which isn't a big deal since she wants to lift it and put 33x12.50s on it anyway. But all in all, Great truck. everything works and my cousin is happy with it Another toyota added to the family!

Nice! Pretty much every Toyota is gonna have clear coat issues on the hood and roof eventually. Glad she got it though.

yeah exactly. It has all the normal oxidation spots on a 4Runner... a little on the hood, all over the roof. below the windows on the doors, and on the fender flares. but its a well maintained clean rig regardless!
