honestly, i've never been under a 4th gen, so i don't know the details of how they differ. however, that front coil assembly looks just like the 3rdgen/tacoma/tundra/sequoia type that we are using the tundra TRD coils on. i'm willing to bet that you can put some tundra TRD coils on a 4th gen and this FJ too. the rears look like they're fairly large diameter like the 2nd gen runners. we'll just have to measure and see.

oh, and i'm digging those tires. i'm checking them out now online for my next set... anybody have any links to good reviews???

4th Gen and 05 Tacoma pretty much have the same front suspension, but different rear.

So, I would like to guess the Revtek 3" lift is probobly the one for the 05 Tacoma and 4th Gen 4Runner, just different inserts on the rear, unless the rear 4th Gen line up with the rear FJ's

Anyone notice how far the stock mud flaps hand down on the DC Tacoma there, thats how they get torn up so easily, Toyota needs to shorten then a few inches or make them more flexable.

The FJ is going to be a winner for sure...

As far as Revtek installing 16" wheels it was more for finding a good tire to put on there. Most tires for 17's are street/wimpy tires. They wanted a more off-road look.

The Revtek lift is part #431, 4Runner lift, exact same one.

Well, we just received 4 lift kits for the new FJ-Cruiser I bet we'll deck out the first few we get in. Should be here end of this week or early next week.

Exactly what I was thinking.. they left that steel cheater spare on there for a reason.. look how close it comes to the rear bumper

Toyota redid the entire front suspension so nothing is a carry over from the previous generation. Everything is incrementally bigger (top plate, bottom shock is different, uca's are larger). So nothing from the previous gen will work. The top plate of the 4runner/fj/taco is larger than the current tundra lineup so that should say something.

4runner front and rear suspension is identical to the FJ. Taco's front suspension is identical to the front suspension from the 4runner/fj. Hope that helps.

i have been trying to find the uncompressed length of the tundra coils since i got my tacoma. i don't think they lengthened the coils in the new 4runners and trucks, the extra length on the strut assembly is where the shock necks down at the very bottom.

that being said, i too think tundra coils will work. however, there is no way they will provide the same amount of lift as they do on a 3rd gen as i am relatively sure the new Tacos/4runners/FJs are relatively heavier. Maybe the new Tundra coils will work when it comes out???
