Air Horn Install
SOO I installed an air horn on the FJ today.
Its pretty loud for not being one of those huge ones!
And WAY easy install.
The FJ has a one wire setup for its factory horn, and grounds through the body mount bolt of the horn.
SOO you have to add a ground wire from the horn ground post to the body (unpainted) surface, I used the driver side radiator upper-mount bolt.
And to get the factory wiring connector to fit, you have to take off the little moveable thing that locks it into place on the factory horn (like my technical terminology?)
the bolt that came with the horn works in the factory location... you tighten iit in a decent amount and try the horn. i kept tightening it until it was so tight that i had to really push the horn onto it. (the horn just slipped over the bolt with this mounting bracket with a slot for the bolt to slip in.
(yes i tied this wire up and out of the way.. this was for picture demonstration)
and it fits great in the stock location.

Nice writeup, thanks! That's the same one I have on order from a local sporting goods store, GI Joe's, $50.
Here's a sound clip (top one)
Is there any delay between pushing the horn pad and the blast? Hopefully no more than a New York second.

Good install, although I think "Bad Boy Airhorn" is false advertising, then again mine is better and I get to play with the best ones there is at work, Grovers!
