Well... RoundEyes' product is also made up of Luxeon reflectors, which are a LOT different than LEDs. That's a lot of the difference in cost as well, but the BOM cost of the RoundEyes is still only about $3 tops. I have issues paying THAT much of a profit margin.

Okay... check THIS deal:
http://plasmaled.com/ledpods.htm
FOUR 4 LED pods in a number of colors for $24 with free shipping.
-or-
FOUR 5 LED pods for $29 with free shipping.
edit: I'm in for a total of 12 of the 5 LED lamps. I'll post back how they worked out.

I got the lamps!
They're 5 LEDs in a cheezy "chromed" plastic case; the center LED is pointing straight out, with the next two (to the right and left) pointing at a slight angle out, then the outermost two pointing wider.
They're pretty bright: (click for larger pics):
Those pics were in a totally dark room with my digital camera, on manual with f1.8, 1/10s shutter. That's about as close as I could get to what they actually look like to my eye.
Installation will be a breeze - I rigged them up for the pics with a 12v wall-wart that I had laying around. No need for a constant current/voltage supply.
I ended up with 8 red and 4 white. Two of the whites are going to replace my "classic" 12v filament footwell lamps; then I think 6 red will be up underneath on the frame rails. The left over two white may end up under the hood, and the remaining two red may end up underneath across the back.
"Time" is an issue for me these days, but I'll eventually get 'em in.
Bottom line, "good purchase".
