Electrical Issues - parker and rear lights not working; keep blowing fuses
Hey guys
I recently went up to Glasshouse Mts and got the 4runner (2nd gen) nice and dirty and the next night, my rear left brake light wasn't working (bulb not blown).
Then the next night neither of my brake lights worked and i'd noticed my fuse was blown. So I replaced the fuse and then it blew about 5 mins later.
I'm assuming there is some kind of electrical short that's maybe putting too much power into the wiring? Does anyone have any ideas at all?
In that time I also installed a sub and amp but this was fairly straightforward. I attached a ground and ran a power lead to the battery.
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!

Try disconnecting the sub and amp and see if the problem goes away. Not uncommon for added devices to cause that sort of problem. Otherwise, pull all the rear bulbs, test, then replace a bulb at a time and re-test to see if you can find the offending circuit. Might be a shorted bulb.

my thought is water got someplace where it shouldnt have as in a socket or connector
you have a hot wire that is hitting ground buy a hot tester / circut tester and go wire by wire also a f s m will have each wire code so you can tell what is what .. electrical issues take mucho TIME !!

Greattt..... Looks like I'm buying a carton of beer this weekend and getting some time away from the missus... It's times like this that you wish you didn't drive through so much mud on the weekend!
