85 4Runner A/C Question

The A/C on my 85 4Runner only works every now and then. Sometimes I get in and it will blow cold air and other times nothing. Sometimes it will stop working if I hit a hard bump.

Is there some sort of impact sensor that would shut it off or do I have a loose wire somewhere? I didn't see any switch on the wiring diagrams in the FSM but maybe it is built into another component. Any other ideas?

Thanks

I would say you either have a loose conection some were or a bad relay. the relay for the a/c (if i remember right) is under the dash behind the radio.

Look in the AC section of the FSM, way in the back of the book. There are wiring pinouts for connectors and such. I would check all the ground connections. I once had a bad ground for my cruise control and if I hit a bit with it engaged, it would drop out.
