Salvage yard seats- mold/mildew?
I have a line on some Celica seats to replace my bench, but they have been out in the yard in the car with the doors off for more than a year. I had to scrape the snow off of them to get a look (they look really good). But how bad are they going to smell once they dry out?
Advice would be appreciated!

They are going to smell pretty bad i think. If you can, i would pull the seat lining off the cushions and wash really well.
A friend of mine rolled his Isuzu Rodeo and left it out in the rain and all of the seats turned green, and when he washed them with a floor cleaner, they turned green again. My neighbor said certain cleaners will kill the mold and it won't come back or smell as bad.

caution on the washing, I bought a carpet set for my 4Runner from a salvage yard, and it musta been in the weather because it was 20% shrunk all the way around!
