Remove unneeded EFI fuel pump?

Have 3vze swapped with 22r. The electric fuel pump is still in tank, replacing the fuel pump bracket because lines are rusted out, staying with EFI bracket because bolt holes match up and fuel guage. Thinking that leaving the fuel pump in tank and have mechanical pump pull fuel through it may cause a restriction. Other option would be to remove pump and extend the line to bottom of tank. Not sure if it would make a difference. Any ideas?

Got it figured out, cut main fuel line from inside old bracket, took fuel pump off too. Connected old fuel line to new bracket main fuel line with the rubber hose connection. Hooked fuel pump up to electric connector and hose clamped it to bracket but left it unhooked to line so that the fuel guage will work but fuel line is not restricted by flowing through it. Ill have to post a picture.

Just curious, Why not just use the Electric fuel pump and get one of the block off kits that deletes the mechanical fuel pump?

its got an external filter on the fuel line, should have one on end of pipe in tank but that will have to wait till a later date.

maybe it doesnt, I dont know if the other wiring hookup going into the top back of tank is fuel guage or if fuel gauge is part of fuel pump.

I blew the 3v motor, decided to go with a 22r swap. Wanted to do V8 swap but didnt have enough $$ to go that route and deal with the gas guzzling.
