The tint on my 4runner is pretty beat up, and I'm looking to get new tint.

I was thinking about getting around 5% for the rear, and I'm not sure what to get for the front windows. I need to be able to see out of the front windows if im 4wheeling and its raining. (By the way its a 93 4runner)

suggestions/pictures appreciated.

i hate window tint, it makes it hard to see when it is dark out.

Well you can get thirty on the front two. Since you have 5 everywhere else it will look darker from the outside because not a lot of light will be able to get in and you will also be able to see easier. If it were me i would go the legal limit and if i couldn't see then i would just roll down the windows.

I would get like 35% or so not too dark. I had a car that had 5% tint which looks good during the day but I couldnt see at all when I was backing up at night and had to stick my head out the window to see. Its good during the summer though and keeps it pretty cool

Check your local laws. Do a search on here because I know someone posted a link to the laws for each state about tint. I would say none to 35% on the front (if law allows) because, from a pedestrian standpoint, I hate not being able to see peoples faces to see if they see me. I go to and from the parking lot a lot at work helping people load lumber and what not, and when theres a vehicle with like 5% tint (even like 20%) its difficult to determine if they see me and/or if they "wave" so I can walk in front of them and not get hit

I have 5% on the rears and slightly lighter on the two front windows and at least in Colorado the cops won't even make a fuss if when you get pulled over have both your driver's side windows downs and don't give him a reason to comment on your tint.

I guess if you off road at night dark/dusk tint might be an issue but in the day it shouldn't be a problem.

I tint everything I own since the sun is murder on the interior as years pass and tint protects and keeps some of the heat down inside and I don't like people to be able to see inside my truck.
