So i pulled the differential and took some pictures of the carnage but my camera is being a #$@& so they wont be uploaded untill i use a different comp tommorrow i guess. Pinion teeth are severely chewed all the way across, and burnt aswell, ring teeth are slightly rounded on the edges, bearings are cooked and one of the side gears may be loose and have no preload at all. Not gona pull the carrier apart untill tommorrow as its 3:20 here right now and ive been up since 7 oclock yesterday and have to get up again in 5 hours Man i love talking to myself.

I wish I had the third out of my donor Taco already. I'd be happy to give you a deal on the 4.10s in it, since I'll have to re-gear it, anyway.

Unfortunately, the Taco is currently under about 4 feet of snow, and I'm not planning to go after it until the snow melts (probably sometime in May!)

Darn! thats too bad. Yeah i solvent tanked it today to get a good look at it and took some more pictures. Ring and pinion are totaly cooked. I will be replacing them as well as all the bearings. Locker clutch was smelling a little cooked but it was still working when i tested it before pulling the diff so im gona leave it be. Im just hoping that the side gears and spiders are ok since the ring gear didnt really have any outstanding burs on it that would typically cause damage. I was suprised to find that the backlash was still at 12-13thousands even after the heat exposure. will work on posting pics right now.
