I have one of these. I wouldn't count on it much for giving you an accurate reading. The little indicator in there moves around super easily. On a bumpy dirt road, the indicator bounces around quite a bit. Nevertheless, for how cheap they are, I'd buy another one. They're kinda cool just to have for kicks and giggles.

Inclinometers are only meant to be read at a full stop anyway. Even the toyota one has a warning that says its inaccurate unless at a full stop.

Yeah, the only time I'd use it is when I'm gettin really tippy on the trail, there's no use for for one on a fire road anyways. Even then I wouldn't rely on it very much anyway, I just judge it by feel. I just thought it would be cool to see about what angle I'm at and it's so cheap I figured why not

That full stop thing is something I've always wondered about... if you're "feel'in tippy" and you stop you might roll over where if you'd kept going you'd have had momentum to carry you though to flatter ground. IK the reading would not be accurate but it might be safer to just keep going even if the clinometer says you're getting close to break over point. Just my 0.02.

Depends on which situation you're tippy in. Like I said earlier, I'm not gunna rely on this clinomter to decide whether to stop going forward or whatever on the trail I'd judge that by feel. However, a clinometer is good for side hilling and judging whether or not to find a better line or backing out of a situation in the beginning.

The last thing I'll be worried about when I feel that I'm about to tip or roll is a clinometer, I just think it'll be fun to mess around with and it was cheap.
