how do you install inclinometer?

Can anyone tell me exactly how to take an inclinometer out of on one truck and put it in another that didnt come with it from the factory. If yall could just tell me if im gonna have to cut out a large hole or just a small one for the wiring, and which screws to unscrew to get the inclinometer off. Thanks.

the only wires are for the light
it should unbolt from the sides of the gauge and then theres a bolt or screw on the dash for the mount

You'll have to take off the dash pad to get the old one off properly. Then take your dash pad off for install. You will see the marks underneath your pad where you mount with four bolts and nuts.

Got any pics (showing the installation would be best, but anything will do)? I've got an inclo sitting in my bedroom waiting to be installed, but I'm dumb and I'm not sure how to do it. I considered putting it into a DIN slot, but i get the feeling that it will be a little too low, and I'm not stoked on trimming it.

there should be some threads about how to do it. It took me 2 hours to get the pad off the first time.

After that I could get it off in 5-10 minutes. Some off those screws/bolts are kind of hidden.

I do remember there being one up underneath the glove box, take that off and get on your back with a flashlight. Shine it up there to find it. You'll need some extensions for that one.

There is also one in the far right corner in the passenger side vent. You have to get the vent out to see it.

Heh, the only problem is you are referring to a 1st gen 4runner. I've got a 2nd gen. I'm curious if there isn't anything there already to bolt it to, something like the 4runner having mounting brackets for Handles on both the driver and passenger side, but only coming with the handle on one side. All that is required is holes poked through the liner. For once I do (sorta) know how to wire this up, unlike everything else. Electical stuff bites...
