Was railing through icy water and put a little dent in the front of the hood

Can see it better here

This one i got caught up on a wet log and slid into a tree, had no choice but to just back out with my panel against the tree

Everything on this side is from snow wheelin on my property

And the ones on this side are from snow wheelin at elbe hills.

Lesson learned.. snow wheelin in Washington forrest = a little body damage

Parked Ford Escape ran into me; I felt moderately better though because I absolutely destroyed the Ford. I knocked out two windows, pushed in the quarter panel, and one door.

You can see my knocked out corner light and the creased fender:

Front Valence is also missing due to a nice big rock.

My orange door is due to me sliding sideways into a tree, I don't have pictures of the old door, but it was pretty messed.

And my severely curbed wheel is due to a curb sliding into me. I popped the bead off the tire, but luckily had WD-40 and lighter with me to pop it back on and make it to a gas station to fill the tire up with air. Fun times.

Battle scars and dents... hmmm...

1st Vehicle:
does this count? gotta watch out for them soccer moms... they bite hard.

Before

Concussion
Bruised ribs
Glass in my upper shoulder, elbow and head ( no stiches )
knocked out for somewhere between 2-5 minutes
screwed up elbow, still not straight to this day ( it wont flex straight )
cuts, and scratches on my left leg
adrenaline was pumping too high... didn't feel anything till next morning. Even though I went to the hospital that day...

2nd Vehicle:

Not nearly as bad, but enough to piss me off. Some idiot kid decided to lane change 3 or 4 lanes when getting on the freeway, but in the process of leaving the 1st lane to go to the 2nd, he slammed into my tire, which propelled his Buick regal into my fender. I left a fat black rubber mark all along the side of his beater. not to mention, with me being pissed off already, I had to follow the guy for 2 miles... I STILL lost this insurance settlement... State farm called it 50/50... so I just reached in, and punched the inside of it and knocked it straight... heh ( I wanted a new fender )

Even tho I was doing bodywork and getting it ready to paint this summer, I went to the Rubicon unprotected. 4Runner vs. rocks = rocks win every time.
Here's proof.

Before the carnage, everything below window line was wet sanded with 400 grit. Had bought the paint already. Best laid plans of mice and men.

Beautiful scenery up there.

Got stuck near bottom of Cadillac Hill. Back and forth with and without winch. Got past it. Damaged crappy front bumper (was gonna replace it and put winch on).

Then squeezed between 2 rocks. Passenger door and rocker panel carnage.
Got past it. (crying a little).

On the way out, nailed the drivers door and rear end.

I have read alot of posts here and still learned the hard way. Can't happen to me....

HEED AXLEIKE, (and others) he is a wise man. --- PROTECTION FIRST.

Then do your other mods, gears, tires, etc., etc.
Thanks for reviving this and reminding me what a doof I am.

Absolutely coulda been worse. I considered myself lucky with minimal damage. And (this was the good news) I did not break anything, either.

Mak92, the term "some idiot kid" triggered a memory. So one night I'm sitting in my nova in a parking lot, arranging some things before I start up my car. To the right and left of me the spaces are empty, but the ones past those are occupied, and there are other cars scattered through-out the football field sized lot. So I'm just about ready to start my car when another car slams into mine going at least twenty, I get jostled around a bit and immediately jump from the car, ready to hurl obscenities and all that. Lo and behold, an old volvo station wagon is lodged against my vehicle. As I'm surveying the scene the occupants of said volvo get out. There before me stand two little teenage girls, maybe 13-15 yrs old. Now at the time I was only 19-20ish, so I was older, but not quite old enough to be adult about it. They get out blabbering about being totally doomed for the rest of their lives, then the driver, the one that looked 15ish says I have no license and this is my dad's car which I borrowed. She had been trying to slalom through vehicles in the parking lot. She got exactly as far as my car. So I said yeah, your in a whole world of hurt that I myself would not choose to be in. Then after dragging them over the coals about the incredible stupidity of their driving adventure I took down their info for the insurance. I talked to the one girls father that night about damages, he seemed like a fairly reasonable guy so I just took cash to get it fixed and didn't screw up his insurance or anything like that. I didn't ask about the punishment but It probably sucked to be them hehe. Sorry I don't have pics as it happened about 8 years ago and I was too poor for a digital cam then. Anyways like I said, what you typed made me think of that as I was reading these.
